a FEROCIOUS promo pic for Janet's new album asdfasdfa Mark your Blackberry's, cupcakes! The legendary diva Miss Janet and the uber-talented Erykah Badu are set to release new albums on the same date: February 26th, 2008! Okay so Miss Jackson's new single, Feedback, makes me happy because I like my Janet best over a dance track. The album is called Discipline, which 1) turns me on and 2) makes me think she is going for a dominatrix-esque vibe a la Rihanna. And we all know Miss Janet can out-nasty Rihanna in her sleep. She looks fantastic in the promo pic, gorgeously grown and sexy. I have high hopes for this one!  Oh, Erykah...how I love thee... Moving to an entirely different genre of music, E. Badu is back with a mid-tempo groove, Honey, and her album is to be called Nu Amerykah. This woman could be singing Hanukkah songs and I'd still purchase it. She's just a supreme talent who always brings the fire. And I love that she has an eclectic sense of style that she completely owns. Can't wait! Source |

First...have you seen B. Scott's "video" to Janet's song...he is such a hot-faluttin-tootin-mess! Second...Janet looks fab but her song is wackadoshus! I mean, the kids love it so she's on the right track at least in terms of sells but um, I need for her to grow up and get a new sound. Like haven't we been there and done this already? And won't she be 50 soon?
As for Erykah...she is indeed the honey I've been needing for quite some time. Can't nobody look hot to def with nappy knots like Miss B. Can't wait!
Janet need to take her place back from Ciara. Now, Getup shoulda been her song, and she coulda jooked the hell outta 1,2 Step (excuse my use of the work jook but I am experiencing a 50's retro fashion lifestyle revival over here, everything but the Jim Crow laws)!
Now we love Ms. Erykah at our house! She is like family for real, her and cousin Mary J, Aunt Vivica has been dis-owned (who said that blood was thicker than water).
