Marimekko hits H&M stores today!

According to the good folks over at Fabsugar, Jackie O. was the first to put noted Finnish design company, Marimekko, on the map by wearing their colorful patterned dresses during JFK's presidential bid in 1960. H&M has now made the brand's design aesthetic accessible to all by creating a collection of bold graphics and retro prints they are calling, "A Tribute to Marimekko."

The colorful collection hits H&M stores today, and includes summer favorites like swimsuits, dresses, scarves, tops, and bottoms. And the prices are right! A one-piece swimsuit is $34.90, while an apron dress is $49.90. The collection also includes menswear, for those bold enough to wear such punchy pieces.

If you're thinking, "Those pieces are too bright, those patterns are too bold, and the whole thing is too much," then may I suggest at least indulging in a Marimekko scarf or floppy hat? Everyone should have one of the two on hand for emergency purposes. Start with either a silk scarf or floppy-brimmed hat, add oversized sunglasses and you can instantly turn a bad hair day/hangover into pure glamour, darling.

Check out the entire line, here, and tell them Elle sent you!

P.S. For all my international lovelies, select pieces will also be sold at 10 Corso Como in Milan, 10 Corso Como in Seoul, and Dover Street Market in London.
